
Titans of rock,The Living End, are set to invade Manly Beach!

Yes, you read right - the three-piece powerhouse are headlining a primo line-up of homegrown Aussie acts at The Australian Open of Surfing including Children Collide, Sneaky Sound System, Bluejuice, Stonefield and Grant Smillie.
They’ll be hitting the[V] MUSIC STAGEat one of two free, all-ages concerts to be held on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th February.
“If someone was to ask me what my favourite combo was, I'd say bacon and eggs, or smoked salmon and capers, or cold beer and chips or... surfing and rock ‘n’ roll! At last, my two biggest passions have come together and the best job in the world has just gotten better! I can't begin to tell you how stoked we are to be a part of this event.It's gonna be amazing! See you there!” says drummer, Andy Strachan.
Here’s the deal for gig one, Friday 17th, DJ/Producer supremo,Grant Smillie,kings of the dancefloor,Bluejuiceand maestros of electropop,Sneaky Sound Systemall set to take the sand by storm.
The music continues on Saturday 18 February at 4:00pm when sisters who shred,Stonefield,along with indie rock heroes,Children Collideand ARIA 2011 winners of Australia’s Best Live Bandaward,The Living End, take to the stage, guaranteeing maximum rock ‘n’ roll.
If you can’t make it down to Manly Beach for these awesomeconcerts, just remember - Channel [V] is broadcasting LIVE from The Australian Open of Surfing from 4.30pm to 6.30pm on both days.
Hosted by Channel [V]’sDanny Clayton, Billy Russell,Jane GazzoandCarissa Walford, these two-hour specials will feature the live performances, plus interviews and highlights from the events.
There will also be a very special edition ofThe Riffdirect from Manly at10.30am on Saturday 18 February.
